Where to Stay

If you will be coming in from out of town and staying the night, please look in to lodging as soon as possible. Santa Barbara is very popular during summer and so rooms are less than moderately priced and fill quickly. We have tried to offset this possible inconvenience by listing many hotel options, including a room block, B & B's, inns, and our local chains.

Please note: If you check a reservation site at this early stage (January or February, etc) and it appears all booked, please call the reservations number listed on the hotel website. Many places haven't released rooms for availability on their website yet, so it doesn't mean there are no rooms to rent!

pps. Also as a note, some places in Santa Barbara require a 2 night minimum during the summer, so plan on making a mini vacation of it and enjoy all the town has to offer!

Affordable Options
We have a room block set up at the Best Western Encina Lodge & Suites, where rooms are reasonably priced. When calling in request the "Felts Wedding" to take part in room block discounts.

Minutes walk from the beach, the Castillo Inn is very affordable, especially for its near beach front address. Also close to the Harbor, it means you can enjoy Brophy Brother's (check out the Good Eats section for more info) which is a great selling point! There is a website, but I was advised that it's best to call to reserve during July (don't trust the reservation site as being up to date)

This place seems to be one of the most affordable. A redone modern motel the aesthetic is very kitschy camp, or what a lot of reviews are calling "hipster", also noted in reviews is its great location and free first come first serve beach cruisers for checking out the town!

Other affordable options. . .
The Holiday Inn Express (centrally located downtown, within walking distance to the venue!)
Brisas del Mar

The Nice, The Nicer & The Nicest
Santa Barbara has little middle ground between "expensive" and "more expensive"
The hotels listed previously are affordable for a summer in Santa Barbara, and might seem surprisingly steep for some, or perhaps a steal for others. The ones I am about to list range from basic nice hotel (Doubletree) to amazing oh-my-goodness yes (San Ysidro Ranch, or the Bacara).

The Canary Hotel
A nice modern hotel in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. Pricier in summer, you might find it worth it as you are a half a block from State Street, with all its shopping, restaurants, and amenities. On the other hand you should expect that you are downtown, and while the beach is a mere 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive, you won't have any ocean views.

The Fess Parker Doubletree Hotel
A similar price to The Canary, with the Doubletree you get the opposite experience. While it's not as up to date in styling as the Canary and you aren't as close to State Street, you are across the street from the beach. If sun and sand is your thing and price isn't a concern, stay here.

The Hyatt Santa Barbara
Another beach front hotel The Hyatt Santa Barbara was recently remodeled, yet still retains its beachy vibe. If you choose to stay here, say hello to our friend Jeff, who is an expert in customer service & reservations!

Inn of the Spanish Garden
With amazing online reviews, and in the heart of downtown (only a couple of blocks from the venue) this hotel isn't to be missed.

If you want to really splurge. . .
The Four Seasons Biltmore
The San Ysidro Ranch
The Bacara Resort & Spa

There are of course many, many more places to stay in Santa Barbara than what is listed here.
Please check out Trip Advisor and Yelp for further suggestions
and most importantly reviews that will help you choose the right hotel for you.
